Hygrocybe insipida (J.E. Lange) M.M. Moser

Spangle waxcap

A small species, quite variable in colour. Most have some red colouring in the cap and stipe but occasionally specimens are found with yellow stipes. Quite viscid when young but the stipe soon becomes dry. Common in unimproved grassland.
