Lichenomphalia is both a basidiolichen and an agaric genus. The inconspicuous lichenized thallus contains single-celled green algae in the genus Coccomyxa, interconnected by a loose network of hyphae. The agaric fruit bodies themselves are nonlichenized similar to omphalinoid mushrooms. Among mosses on acid heaths and moors. Common in Scotland
